Ganesha or (Vinayaga/Pillaiyar) is the elephant-headed god in Hinduism. He is the son of Shiva and Parvati.

The Hindu tradition calls Ganesha as the Vighneshvara. "Vighneshvara" in Sanskrit language means one who is the lord of obstacles or difficulties.
